I want to thank everyone who has followed this blog experiment. This site has run as an experiment or concept site of SpinningSilk, LLC. We have decided to standardize on our SpinningSilk brand and thus we have moved the posts that were here to SpinningSilkmultimedia.com, spinningsilk.com and spinningsilkit.com. SpinningSilk.com and SpinningSilkit.com are still in redevelopment.
We will be using SpinningSilk.com as an active portal site for our business and you will find annoucements regarding the other divisions there and we have also move topics regarding productivity, innovation and organization there. That decision will make more sense in the days and weeks to come.
Anything related to RSS, blogging, micro-blogging, have moved to the SpinningSilk Multimedia Blog. Posts that focused on e-mail, security, web browsers and networking have moved to SpinningSilk I.T.
We desire to focus deeper on our brand and the niches within our business. Please visit the other sites in the days ahead for information an new posts related to the topics mentioned above. This site will be going down in the next week or so. Please adjust your bookmarks and RSS feeds accordingly.
I'm seriously considering selling this current domain but that doesn't mean this blog is going away. My current plan is to standardize on my companies name, SpinningSilk, LLC. We do own the domain spinningsilkit.com and my current thinking is to move most of the posts from here to there. That would make the SpinningSilk name cover all of our sites. The bulk of our business is done through spinningsilkmultimedia.com, second to that my wife runs her private piano and voice services through spinningsilkmusic.com and of course we have the orginal corporate/portal site of spinningsilk.com. Unravelingtounderstand.com had been a bit of an experiment that evolved our of issues and conversations with clients. I definitely don't intend to make SpinningSilkit.com a full-fledged I.T. services company but I do want to use it as a place to write about technology issues, provide basic support related to our clients needs in areas related to what we do at SpinningSilk Multimedia and we will probably use it to resell some products we feel would be of use to our clients and more than likely an ad supported file uploading service.
